Fondue… and an Old Fashioned

  • Place: The Melting Pot
  • City: Coral Springs, FL

  • Date: August 8, 2021
  • Meal: Dinner

Wife and I are starting our night with the right drinks first – an Espresso Martini and an Old Fashioned. We sit in our booth and settle down, notice the place seems busy so we look at the menu and get to work. Since it is fondue, we pretty much have to agree on the type of cooking we’d like. We knew this going in, and we don’t really have any problems deciding, even when we take our time 😉

Cop Au Vin is what we’re cooking in, and it was a variety of seasoned beef, pork and chicken – along with some veggies. For desert, fondue it up with the chocolate and dipping things like diced bananas, strawberries and marshmallows.

The Experience

As busy as it may have been, we were sitting in booths, so the traffic didn’t bother us. There are curtains all around the booth, so you feel secluded. The lighting is low for a romantic setting and the noise is low. We had great conversations with our meal and had a marvelous time at The Melting Pot.

We look forward to repeating our visit, really enjoyed our time.
